OVERNIGHT OATS BASE RECIPE

Whenever I know I won’t have much time in the morning, I prepare a bowl of overnight oats. This is my base recipe! It is the ultimate make-ahead, healthy, and delicious breakfast, and it requires no cooking! Once you know this overnight oats base recipe, you can customize it with limitless combinations of mix-ins and toppings!
Here are some ways to customize your overnight oats!
INGREDIENTS
The Overnight Oats
3 tbsp oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
0.5-1 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp plain thick yoghurt
6 tbsp water
INSTRUCTIONS:
The night before, combine oats, chia seeds, maple syrup, plain thick yogurt, and water in a bowl.
Give it a good stir and let thicken in the fridge overnight (about 8 hours).
In the morning, stir the oats and transfer them to a new bowl.
Top the oats with optional toppings!

NOTES
– If I know the toppings I will add are sweet, I add 0.5 tbsp maple syrup. If not, I add a little bit more sweetener.
